This was our third year attending the Good Friday at Verizon event put on by Passion City Church, with Louie Giglio speaking and Chris Tomlin, Christy Nockels, and Kristian Stanfill leading the service. It. Was. Amazing…like always…and spent with good friends the Williams’.
The service is pointed straight at the cross and all that it stands for. And it was also about Loving Japan and Loving Haiti. Still seeing the devastation of that tsunami and the earthquake moves me to tears…and yet, I believe God’s hand is over it all. That is hard to swallow at times, because devastation will come…it says in His Word it will…and yet, I believe His purpose and plan is to draw people closer to Him. With all that being said, I went into Sunday anticipating Him. It’s a joyous day to know and believe He rose from the dead, it’s another to follow it and act like it everyday. From the time He rose from the grave all those years ago, there never has to be a time in my life that I didn’t believe He was on His throne. Ever. Period. End of story. And so today, and everyday, I am going to chose to live that out.
And Easter just wouldn’t be Easter without the family picture of us at the Easter Cross…
And then a better one of the kids with Grandma…
May the joy of our risen Savior be your guide always!
